Even after your death... your account may continue to be published in your name! 😳

In a move that has sparked widespread controversy, Meta has obtained a patent describing an artificial intelligence-based system for simulating user behavior on its platforms.
👈The idea is based on analyzing a person’s data during his life - such as his posts, comments, likes, and the way he interacts - in order to build a digital model that simulates his style of communication. According to the patent documents, this system could theoretically continue interacting in the name of the user even in the event of a long absence... or after his death.
But it is important to clarify a basic point: Obtaining a patent does not necessarily mean actually launching the product. So far, there is no official Meta service that automatically activates this type of “digital persistence” after death.
However, this idea opens a wide door to discussion about:
👈The concept of digital identity 👈The ethics of using people’s data after their death 👈The limits of artificial intelligence in simulating humans 👈The meaning of “presence” in the digital age
Are we facing a new form of digital immortality? Or are we facing ethical and legal challenges for which we are not yet prepared?
👏The world is changing rapidly... and the question is no longer: Can this be done? Rather: Should it be done?
