Multiple Qubits and State Space

Quantum Computing Basics for Developers

Scaling Up

With 1 qubit, we have 2 possible basis states. With 2 qubits, we have 4 ($2^2$): $|00⟩, |01⟩, |10⟩, |11⟩$.

With $n$ qubits, the state space is $2^n$. This exponential growth is why quantum computers can solve problems classical ones can't.
