Android History: From Camera OS to Global Dominance

👈In 2003, there was no iPhone, no app stores, and not even the concept of a “smartphone” as we know it today. At that time, Andy Rubin founded a small company called Android Inc. The target was not phones in the first place... 📷 First idea? Digital cameras. ☝️Android started as an operating system: 👈 Connects the camera to the Internet 👈 Organizes pictures 👈And stores it in the cloud 👌Smart idea... but the market was limited. ✌️ Smart transformation Quickly, the team realized that the future was not in the cameras… But on mobile phones. Android has been redesigned as a system: ✔️ Light ✔️ Open source ✔️ Built on the powerful Linux kernel Nucleus responsible for: 👈Processor management 👈Memory 👈Power and gear handling 👈While the interface and applications are built on top of it. 🔍 Before Google... Android was an unknown project, no devices, no users, no hype 👈Just Linux Kernel + bold technical vision. 👌 The Turning Point (2005) In 2005, Google purchased Android Inc. From here everything changed: Huge engineering support, long-term vision, an open system that competes with closed systems 👏 Conclusion Android didn't appear suddenly, and it wasn't invented for phones from the beginning. Rather, it was born as a small idea, matured technically, and then turned into the largest operating system in the world. Sometimes...the most powerful systems start with simple ideas 😉 #idea_programmer #idea2dev
