Lesson 5: Visualizing the Script: Free Image & Clip Generation
Visuals support your narration. Since free text-to-video is often slow or watermarked, we rely on high-quality AI images and dynamic editing to convey movement.
5.1 Using Free Image Generators (Microsoft Designer/Copilot)
Microsoft's free tools integrate DALL-E 3, offering excellent quality and prompt interpretation.
Steps for Visual Asset Creation:
- Analyze Script Segments: Identify key concepts in your script that need visual representation (e.g., 'a tired employee,' 'future technology,' 'a stack of cash').
- Prompting for Consistency: Use consistent visual styles. Include parameters like
Style: cinematic photograph, high detail, 4k, no textin all your image prompts to maintain a cohesive look across your reel. - Generate & Download: Create 5-10 images corresponding to the major scene changes in your script.
5.2 Simulating Video Movement (Image-to-Video)
Static images feel boring. We use basic editing techniques in CapCut/Canva to make them dynamic.
- The Ken Burns Effect: Apply slow zoom-ins, zoom-outs, or gentle panning movements to the static image. This creates a sense of motion.
- CapCut Animations: Utilize the 'Animate' feature to smoothly bring the image onto the screen (e.g., a subtle fade-in or slide).
5.3 Finding Free Stock Video
If you need actual B-roll footage, CapCut's internal stock library offers extensive free clips. Search terms like 'technology,' 'business,' or 'abstract motion' to find relevant, non-copyrighted footage to intersperse with your AI-generated images.
